It is through the technique of Impression that I question the image and give it meaning. This recurrent procedure highlights the most consequent aspects of my art. Impression reminds us of a painting’s fundamental temporality. The technique brings us back to the inevitable ruin of the body and the withdrawal into melancholy; the sense of “otherness”. In a creative and destructive impulse, it appeals to the metaphysical issues of being, combining the dichotomy and polymorphism of painting.
